[Task6] Bees communication theoriesLearning English 2019. 8. 27. 22:39
The professor explains the two theories about how bees communicate with each other to tell where to find the nectar. One of them is the 'waggle dance', which is the most popular. The bee dances in a circular pattern and the angle of the dance shows other bees the direction where the food source is. The other theory is the 'odor plum'. Advocates of this theory believe the dance alone is not sufficient to explain the way bees communicate. They suggest after attracting other bees in the hive by dancing, worker bees share the scent with them. That way, the other bees can follow the odor trail to the source.
